Hen with swollen eye - what is it?

My 10 month old Buff Orpington hen has a swollen eye. It is a ring all around her eye - no goop or anything. I have a pic but cant post it?
I just noticed it this morning. She seems ok otherwise and my other 15 hens seem fine. They free range during the day and are locked in the coop at night. Our weather has been extremely wet and hot. Someone recently gave us some 1 month old chicks which are in a cage inside the chicken coop so I'm a little nervous that they were carrying something.
I have seen several posts with different respiratory ailments but most have other symptoms. What could this be?

I have never seen anything like this in chickens (I'm not the most experienced chicken person) but it looks like an allergic response to me - like maybe a bite or something. I'm curious to follow your responses to see what other more experienced folks might have to say.

Bug bite, Wasp or Bee. I the swelling will go down in a day or two. Don't worry about it too much, Ah? just keep an eye on it. If it starts getting more swollen before it goes down don't be shocked, my birds have been stung so bad their eye swelled shut fine in next 2 days.
