I have an approx 4 month old Rhode Island Red hen which I have been nursing since she was just a chick. She somehow broke both legs early on and I figured out a padded brace to enable her to eat and be somewhat mobil. But it appears that she has yeast under both wings I'm assuming where she is getting too warm in the foam pad. What can I do for her?
Does it smell yeasty? I am thinking it may be a heat rash type thing and not yeast. Either way, yeast is an easy fix and you can pick it up at any drug store. Monistat topical cream applied twice a day to the affected areas for a couple days.
Good luck with your accident prone chick. I hope she makes it to adulthood.
