One of my hens has a round punture wound on her side, below her wing. I thought she got it from the rooster's spur when he mounted her. It is growing in size, is very red and bloody and weeping. Can I help her or is it too late? Please help.
    Thank you!!!

Bring her in, clean her up with warm water and some hand soap... use a triple antibiotic ointment on her, bandaging will be tough. I'd put some Terramycin and/or electrolytes in her water. I just got a hen through some sort of attack, the people here will help more, but thats where I'd start until they pop on with more info. Pics will also help them to help you.
