I found one of my hens like this today☹️ I picked her up and found no signs of trauma and when I sat her back down she was able to stand wobbly for a few seconds before laying back down. Her feet were kind of splayed out and she can’t lift her head. I tried to lift it gently front the bottom of her beak and it felt tense so I didn’t want to push it. I put food under her beak and some water and she showed no interest. I have no idea what’s wrong with her and my go to chicken pro isn’t responding to my texts! Please and thank you for any input🤞

So sorry about your hen. Does she free range? Is there any pond or stream that had flooded, or a compost bed nearby? Could she have been head injured or injured by a rooster? I would be a little concerned about botulism from eating dead animal remains or maggots from one. Is there any lead shot in the ground or lead paint around? Any mold in food? Was she vaccinated for Mareks? It is hard to know what has affected her, but I would give her supportive care, keep her separated, and try to get her to eat and drink. Tube feeding should be considered if she is not taking anything tomorrow.
