Hen wont come out of the coop

A duck. But that's it. I promised my hubby I wouldn't get anymore for now.
Ah OK...these last 4 chicken additions will just take time to settle in,
especially if you didn't introduce them thru a wire barrier first.

I sold the one that was getting beat on this morning. :( I had tears in my eyes when I handed her over but, I wanted to do what was best for her so..

Sorry, to hear about your bird, I would definitely recommend separating the bully. This usually happens in a flock and can cause trouble and stress to the other birds. I have had to situate this problem with my chickens before and sometimes can be a little difficult. Especially when it comes to my australorp and barred rocks. One of the bigger barred rocks has a tendency of picking and chasing my easter egger, I can't say she is smart either. If one of the other chickens such as my buff orpington will peck the barred rock from food she will get temperamental and go and severely attack the little easter egger. You don't even have to separate the bully. You can get it a beak trim (helped me to situate the problem a little better with my chickens), or you can get it chicken eyeglasses. It won't affect the chicken from eating etc.. but it won't be able to bully the chicken.
