ALoha,
One of three eggs hatched out yesterday. Mama is still setting on the other two eggs. yesterday she allowed the chick under her, but today the poor thing is peeping like mad & running circles around mama, trying to burrow underneath her - but she won't accommodate him. It's getting chilly today and I'm worried the new chick will die of exposure. How long should I let this go on before I intervene & hand rear the little one? This is a new mother, tho she was fantastic raising (babynapping) a sole duckling that hatched last month.
