I've had my five girls for nearly a year now. We just got 21 baby birds and they're growing nicely. They're up to about 4-5 weeks old now and they think they're big tough birds! So I took a few of my baby birds down to see the big hens. The baby birds started to run and try to follow the adult birds....my hens saw the baby birds coming...started talking amongst themselves and decided as a group that they were going to FREAK OUT! It was HYSTERICAL to watch my big EE birds fly straight up into the air and run as fast as they could in the other direction. Which of course...led my baby birds to try and follow the hens. This happened a few times before I caught the babys and took them back up to their house but I thought it was the funniest thing ever and had to share.

21 against 5 - the older hens knew they were out numbered!
I guess chickens aren't so stupid - they know math!
