Having Binky return, safe and sound, would have been incredible on its own. But, with chicks!! Hurray, hurray, hurray!!!

I had that same question!Wait, did the baby in the egg follow with it's legs stuck out? Just confused as to how you found this one egg since you didn't know where she was.
Cute family, btw![]()
i heard the peeping and moved a bunch of extra plywood that was in the backyard after taking down our shed, and her nest was back there (with the baby stuck in the egg) she was super silent and i never saw her come out of her nest when she was on it, though!Wait, did the baby in the egg follow with it's legs stuck out? i heard the chick peeing behind a peice of spare plywood, and pulled it up and saw her hidden nest (with the stuck baby peeping)I love these stories about missing hens returning with chicks in tow. Great job getting #5 out of the shell. I'm curious however, about how you found the shrink-wrapped chick. Did you find the hidden nest, or did she have the egg tucked under her wing or something.
She found a little peice of plywood from when we took apart our shed and hid behind it (it was leaned against a wall, so she went into the little space behind it lol)Wow, what a great mamma hen. Any ideas where she may have been hiding?
i heard the peeping and followed it until i found her nest (which was hidden behind a peice of plywood)Awwww. Lovely surprise. Cute.
Like others I am curious how you found the shrink wrapped chick. Great job in freeing it though!
