There is another name for the bones but it evades me, they are the two bones foreward of the vent about 3/4 of an inch. On a pullet they are about a 1/2 width between on a currently laying hen they are about 1 1/2 inches wide. You can feel them if you hold the hen in your arm with your forearm supporting her and your hand on the vent end of the bird, feel for two bones under the skin that come to a point just foreward of the vent. An older hen when she is not laying will close up to about 3/4 of an inch also and the comb will become pale. Your hens look to both be laying and as suggested by the looks of the yard there are lots of places to lay.
Also compare the eggs and if they are not identical in color or if the shape is noticable different than you may be mistaken that one hen is laying everyday. I have had 2 hens penned and got 1 egg a day all summer and the only reason i knew both were laying was by egg color and size/shape.
