We found my hen yesterday and she was very lathargic and she had her head down and was slow...at first I thought she was egg bound because my previous hen had that and we had to shoot her because it got so bad and with everything we did we just could not help her. I looked up more information on egg bounding and ruled that out, we had given her some calcium and some water and she perked up for a bit but then the next morning I went to let the birds out and I saw she was still in the coop not the yard, so I took her to our back yard to isolate her from everyone. A little whil later at around 1 I went out to check on her and she was very lathargic still and whenever she could barely walk without tilting over, I had shown her water and food and she turned her nose up to it...then I put the water bowl up near her beak where the water was touching it and she freaked out and started sucking down the water like she hasn't drinking in days...then I got to thinking what if she has been dehydrated and that's what's causing this...I brought her into the house with the water and food it is now 4:30 and she keeps on drinking like that, like I said before her symptoms were lathargic, comb is flopping over and her comb is going black from the tips down, she is also 3 years old. My question is is it just dehydration or is it the disease called "fowl pox"?

A black comb& her other symptoms are very serious. She needs immediate medical attention. When she drinks like that, what is her output?
