hens foot red and swollen

i went to feed and water hens this morning .hen is limping bad .her foot is swollen and warm to the touch.i washed it in warm water an applied some ointment.i looked at the bottom of her foot and there is a small dark place.any help would be apprecitated.oh and she was fine yesterday.

update on hen with bumblefoot.she doing great.thanks for the information on bumblefoot surgery.my husband and i worked on hens foot on sunday.as of today was walking without a limp.
