It's more than likely you actually purchased 4 hens and 2 rooster!I purchased 6 Hens in July. They we 3 months old when I brought them home. 1st week of Nov I went out early morning to let the chickens out of the coop, my Delaware came out and started to crow. After the shock, I did some surfing and read she could be turning into a he. I noticed small nubs on her legs which I was told could be spurs growing.
Now this week, I have another hen crowing, Buckeye.
So, were these late bloomer Roosters or really changing?
