Hens haven`t started laying yet

Well, now I'm wondering if its a roo?

if it has pointed and curved feathers on it's back running down it's side I would say roo......sorry.....I think I see some. Also the hens don't have the neck feathers like yours.....only the roosters.

That BR looks more like a roo than the roo does.

My oldest girls hatched out end of July, first of August so I'm still playing the waiting game here. Feeding a combo of 20% layer with non-medicated starter with treats of all sorts. The girls are up there in size but between daylight hours being shorter, the weather turning cold, and their hatching dates I figure I may get Valentine's presents at best, prolly more like real Easter eggs

I do know the DH keeps looking at the birds and then his BBQ pit with a

expression on his face. I get this feeling he's starting to think dinner instead of breakfast.

I think your BR looks roo-ish too.

I think I see saddle feathers & hackles too...Sorry, the same thing happen to me with my BR...it was suppose to be a BR pullet but turned out to be a black sexlink roo instead. He sure is a pretty one too! The other two look like they could be lay anytime. Hope you get eggs soon!
