Hens in nesting box

Hello, I have four hens in a coop made for four ,they have plenty of outside room, my question is they all sleep in the nesting box, I have tried everything . Is it ok to just let them be ? Does it affect egg production?

The main problem with sleeping in the nesting boxes is that they also poop in the boxes, making it quite messy for the eggs. Can you raise the roosts or lower the boxes? Chickens tend to go to the highest spot, so if your roosting perches are higher than your boxes, they may decide that they prefer the roost.
