I got 2 ameriaracauna hens from a friend almost a month ago now. They were laying at her house. I have them in a cage with my BB rooster. I just don't know why they aren't laying. They seem to be acting totally normal. I have been feeding them layer feed, oyster shell and fruits and veggies.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated!

Strange...
Tell us about this cage and their behaviour. And how is it different from their previous home? Is there anything at all that might make them stressed out such as noisy kids, barking dogs, etc?

I would think the two to one roo might be stressing them and how large is the cage they are in ? Do they have access to the outside world, run/freerange? Are they missing feathers on thier backs /necks ?

No. They are totally fine. I let them free range all day everyday. There run is about 6 x 10. I have 34 9 week olds and I had to move them to the big coop with a run, and put the hens in the smaller run with the roo. The hens don't actually have an enclosed coop. I just put a 4x8 piece of plywood on top of the run. so they can get out of the rain. I made them a really nice nestbox too. They have plenty of food and water. My roo really take care of them. He NEVER pecks/hurt them. They just don't show any intrest in laying. They aren't molting either.

If they are free ranging they could be laying where your not finding the eggs. I would check every nook and cranny that they could hide them. Good Luck

is there ever yellow on them could thy be eating the eggs are the holes in the caging large enough for rodents or snakes to get in and eat the eggs?

have you put golf balls or fake eggs in the nest box

Someone else had that problem. She actually had to go buy eggs. When she found the eggs, she found over 3 dozen...
