I have one female hen an adult frizzle and will not simply start do the pecking order she will -at first go, run toward any new hen and just jump on them, the newbies at 4/6moths and 1yr are submissive to her.. she is named fatty cause she is a very large adult hen. Looks bigger with her frizzle feathers is about as big as my 4yr old Wyandotte.. they pair in the yard. Wyandotte is the mother hen she will do the peck order once and that’s it but this frizzle came to us 2yrs ago as a ring in with her bad personality.. I don’t want to get rid of her she is a good egg layer and looks amazing! But a right old B**ch! My Mille fleur bantam mocks her behaviours.. these 3 are buddies.. all adult. Side by side separate to the newbies: Leghorn 4month; Maran 6months & Araucana 1yr old..all get one housed together they get on very well actually the Arucana is super flighty and flippant will avoid humans at best but is fine when you simply move slow she’ll get well out of your way and go about her business. I do hope once everyone ages they can mix does anyone have any thoughts whether they might. I’ve had silkies before but they never mixed that was a different ball game they need their own pen.
