how do i get i get my hens to lay more frequently

Steady supply of layer feed.... plenty of water.... Adequate nest box and a good routine seems to be the best method.

Major changes/excitement will cause them to stop suddenly.

The more they lay- the faster they'll burn out. If your hen is happy & healthy, you should get an egg every other day at least. If you just want more eggs- get another hen.

I like the "get more hens" suggestion. No matter how many I have, I always think to myself, "yea, but wouldn't a (*insert breed here*)be a nice addition to the family?

If you figure out a way to get them to lay more, please let me know. out of 16 hens, I am currently getting two eggs a day.
