You could be over here helping me repair the damage from another cow raid.

Well, I spent all evening cleaning out the coop & run putting in fresh bedding, building a roost for the run, & helping the birds forage via an electric worm picker. That really enthralled my Grandsons , so I got plenty of help picking up the worms, and my girls & boy were thrilled too!!!
Keepin em fat & sassy. ( } ;

Egg production was up to three today YAY!!!! thought there were only 2 then found another that a hen was sitting on. thought about just letting her sit & see what happens ,but not ready to deal with any hatchlings yet.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock and I'm glad to hear that the egg production is creeping up. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of hens do you have?

I have 2 hens that we have narrowed down to Production Reds, & 5 Back Sex Links. All beautiful birds.And a Rooster that I believe is a New Hampshire Red.

I have had all of those, and they are all excellent layers, especially the Black Sex Links, which are egg laying machines. I have been raising chickens for 50 years, and my BSLs have consistently been my best layers, frequently churning out over 300 eggs per hen per year. You are going to get loads of eggs. :eek:)
