I got twelve pullet australorps.how common is it to come out with some roosters, and is it possible to tell if there is a rooster at 6 weeks old.?

Usually you can tell on some breeds by six weeks or earlier of age if you have a roo. Post a pic then we might be able to help you out better.

It's not uncommon to end up with a rooster, some breeds are more difficult to sex when they are young. If you show us a photo of the one you are questioning, we might be able to help you. You could also post it on the "what breed/gender is this" forum.

Thanks for joining us.
