See how the rooster has long pointy feathers? That's male specific feathering.

From the top they look like they could be males, due to the not so even patterning.

These are most likely both males, as tookie mentioned. For this plumage of polish, males have concentrated black at the base of the neck and tail.. both of yours fit this pretty well.
