Hens or Roos?

I have a barred rock and a brown leghorn/welsummer (not sure). they both have pretty large combs (at least it seems like it) Hope someone can help, thanks.

How old are they? Are your brown leghorn/welsummers featehred in on the breast yet? If so, that is your tell - females will feather in with salmon breasts and males feather in with black breasts.

yes they have feathered in on their chest and it is a tan/orangey color. They are around 4 weeks old

The Barred Rock looks like a pullet to me.
These are mine when they were little. There was a lot of variation in the amount of black to white and their comb sizes. They are all pullets. As long as your Barred Rock's comb doesn't turn red before 10 weeks, it's a pullet.

thanks all of you, it helped a lot. i really hope they are both pullets because if they aren't i'll have to get rid of them
