no. All she said was she has been selling chickens for a few years now and she has never had a problem until now.

Darn sorry about that., I sell chickens here in Australia and If i ever sell them as hens and for some reason they are not i swap them over for the person that buys them.

And I find it highly doubtful that she bought them from a reputable hatchery--especially as Black Stars. I don't think they even look like any sort of cockerels that would come in an assorted bunch since they look like mixes.

We've had them for a month

well I certainly learned my lesson when buying chickens! I will always post pics on here first before buying or else buy from a reputable seller. At least I didn't pay much for them and I'll have 8-9 nice sized roasters in the freezer for the winter!

Yeah.....a month ago, if she's any type of chicken person, she knew those were roosters. Sorry you got scammed, if it makes you feel better you're in good company, we see this a lot. Ticks me off how many dishonest folks take advantage of newbies.
