Hens regulating temps / Peeps7, your Question...

When we had our outragous heatwave last summer, I was curious, too.
I had hens brooding, so I checked temps under broody hens.
Apparently, the hens body mass and feathers act like an insulator.
While the hen was on the nest, egg temps hovered just below 100, when the ambient (outside air temp) was 100 or above.
On the day we had temps above 110 degrees, the moniter under the hen never went over 100 degrees.
Does that help lessen the confusion, Peeps7.

Yeas it does, thanks for that. I'm really worried about my eggs cause its day 21 and no pips, peeps, or anything.
