Less scraps & feed with higher protein.
I learned treats & scrapes off sets the nutritional balance of their feed. I feed Purina Flock Raiser (20%) & Oyster Shells on the side as they will eat as they need. Have never had any issue with eggs/shells. They started gaining weight once I stopped the scraps & treats, they now get 1/8 c of dry feed & 1/8 MW at close up (I ferment my feed so the dry feed is fun for them).
