Hens stopped laying

I have two white American pekin hens. They are a few years old that I got from a neighbor and added them to our folk. They laid everyday with the previous owner then we got them and they haven’t laid since. It’s been a few months. I read that stress can cause them to stop but I would have thought they would have started by now.

Is there anyway to get them to lay again??

how old are they? maybe they are slowing down for the winter and because of their age.
We do not have an exact age. Just that they are “a few” years old. We got them before summer and had a predator getting after our ducks so they moved to the lake for the summer with my parents to keep them safe. They are happy and healthy there but still not laying. We have taken care of our predator issues and have a new duck house for them. We have 3 ducks here now and the two that aren’t laying will come back in a week and it’ll make 5 total. I do not believe it is a winter issue as it started after their initial change of environment and it was at the start of summer. I do believe it could be an age thing but like I said they did lay every day at their original home until they moved to our house. They did lay one egg the first day here but that is it and I’m sure it’s just an egg they already had produced. Any suggestions to get them to lay again? I was thinking of grabbing some wooden eggs from tsc and putting them in the hen house but that’s all I can think of

My two hens are back and still don’t lay. They are fairly young and we would like them to produce again. Any suggestions??? Please read from start for details!

With the moving from place to place that can add stress, from your place to your parents and back to your place. Each move causing weeks of stress. Then the weather changing, I think it is all bad timing. Those dang predators!!!
We only planned on one move from their previous owner to us but we were invaded with raccoons. They unfortunately got the majority of our flock.. around 11 ducks. It was very devastating. The worst part is we do lock them up everynight and the pests played with the latch and got into our coop. So we did what we could to keep the rest safe. 35 dead raccoons and a new cool later we are building our flock back but plan to keep it smaller now anyhow. Hopefully we will have better luck in the spring with eggs!

I think your neighbor sold you birds that don't lay if they are a few years old.
He gave them to us. He has a flock himself and there was eggs in his hen house. We just grabbed whatever two birds we could so I do believe they were laying before hand and like I said the first day they came here we did get an egg from one of them that they must had produced there
