Hens stopped laying

He gave them to us. He has a flock himself and there was eggs in his hen house. We just grabbed whatever two birds we could so I do believe they were laying before hand and like I said the first day they came here we did get an egg from one of them that they must had produced there
Oh. Ok, well it is likely stress.

We only planned on one move from their previous owner to us but we were invaded with raccoons. They unfortunately got the majority of our flock.. around 11 ducks. It was very devastating. The worst part is we do lock them up everynight and the pests played with the latch and got into our coop. So we did what we could to keep the rest safe. 35 dead raccoons and a new cool later we are building our flock back but plan to keep it smaller now anyhow. Hopefully we will have better luck in the spring with eggs!
That's horrible! Raccoons are so cunning.
I hope the ladies have a nice relaxing break and come spring, you have lovely eggs!
