What did the vet do with this broken bone that is shown in this pic?

He removed the exposed bone and pulled the skin over the wound stitched it basically

Update: so I’m trying to reintroduce her to the flock, however they keep picking on her! What should I do? She seems so scared to go back

This may take some time. Do you have an area in your run that you can section her off with chicken wire? Where she can see and be seen but no touching. Then the flock can gradually get used to her presence. if there's another chicken that is not inclined to pick on her you can place the two in there together.
