My BA hen hatched out 3 chicks Aptil 22,23, & 24. She has been a devoted momma hen. But no more eggs! My rooster took control yesterday, and mounted her ~ violently. Today, she's been singing the egg layer's song. But every time she sets down for a second, her brood of 3 climb on & under her. She ran off, then returned to her brood free ranging casually as usual.
Does anyone have any experiences like this? Any advice? This is my favorite hen, I'm worried about her.

She'll be fine. Most of mine don't start laying until their chicks are 6-8 weeks old. Of course you could take them away to speed up the process, but otherwise just give her time.
