I have one hen that I noticed lice eggs. I already have the topical ivermectin and have used it in the past but my question is do they need more than one dose and if so how far apart?

Thanks

The standard is a week off between treatments, because the eggs take 5 days to hatch and then 10+ days to mature, so you treat, wait a week (new lice hatch from the eggs) and treat again to kill the second generation before they mature to lay eggs.

(even if they hatch on day 1 after the first treatment they still won't be mature enough to reproduce when you start the second)
