Your birds would probably be happier in a 3 sided coop in your climate. Otherwise opening it up more would help too.I put that I am in Central Texas in my Post.

See I tried that today but when they wanted to go lay in there (their nesting boxes are in there) they kept coming back out. I think they like the privacy when they are laying. In my post I stated I had 5 of them. Its about a 5X5.How many birds do you have in there it is not very large in look
you have done all we ask please get some measurements on the coop asnd say how many birds if you told me before please tell me again
