Do you think that Purr has good characteristics? I know she is not purebred, but I think she is beautiful.

Purr is purebred, but is really not a good example of the breed. Just want to be honest. The type is not there. However, she's still adorable. Oh and I have a hen that is not great type, but makes very beautiful babies.

I bought Purr for $2 off of Craigslist, so constructive critiscism doesn't hurt.

I just have an assortment of chickens right now, and Roo is not Silkie (DUH

) I didn't think she was purebred because she has some straight feathers right on her wingtips, although....I have LOTS to learn.

They are supposed to have well shredded wing feathers.

Definitely a winner at $2!! I sell my silkie chicks for $7 each unsexed. You wouldn't believe how many people are waiting for silkies from me.

Though I only sell the colours that I don't want. Like white. Sometimes I get them popping up, as Pearl & Steve both carry a recessive white gene.

Here's one that didn't make the cut. I sold him for $15 to a pet home. His name is Joshua now

This one here also didn't make the cut. He's Calico I believe, though I loved his look - I didn't have anything to breed him with to improve on the colour.

This girl here has a pet home, but is still with me for now. She's not black, but not blue. Just a mixed coloured girl.
