herbal medicine garden for chickens

Thank you. Looking forward to the photos.

Do you see your chickens eating the ones you hang up?
Do you have any problems keeping it growing in a specific area or does it try to spread all over?
My friend who gave me this comfrey said she had her field bush hogged and it spread like wild fire I haven't even used a weed eater on mine so it has stayed pretty much where I planted it. Except in the front yard they ate it down to a nub and it didn't come back.

@Miss Lydia

Thank you SO MUCH for the photos. Those plants are very pretty when they are flowered.

Now I have a couple more questions.

About how tall does it get? (Hard for me to tell from the photo.)
Looks like you have it growing in shade?

It can grow either shade or sun, These are just growing wild I don't do a thing to them other than clip off young leaves every once in a while for feeding and clip off larger leaves for drying. They get about 2.5'tall They are pretty I love the flowers.

Do you are they yours?

@Miss Lydia
I just bought some chocolate mint this morning. I haven't had it before (only mountain mint and one other). I'm considering putting the chocolate in a pot but maybe will change my mind. The mountain mint is "supposed" to be less roving but it spreads well as far as I can see (!) We transplanted some under and around the new bee hive.

Of course the bees love it when it flowers, but the oils are also supposed to help them keep mites in check.

I also think I'm going to get some comfrey. You can get the traditional seed that is supposed to spread all over kingdom come...or the root scock (is it bocking 14?) that isn't supposed to spread as much. I'm thinking that if I plant it at the woods edge it won't really matter. And maybe it will take up space that Poison Ivy would have occupied.
