Maybe a silly question but can you use dried herbs for your chicken coop or in their food such as shwartz etc from the supermarket.

What do you want to use the herbs for?

If odor is a problem, cleanliness and Big Ventilation are the best solution.

I do not think that any common cooking herbs can hurt the chickens, but I personally save them for seasoning them when cooking.

It was just in general. I have a cupboard full of herbs and was having a clear out but don't want to throw them if I can use them for the chooks.

In that case I might mix them with some coop bedding or run litter. Unless they're very dusty and might be irritating to breathe.
