one of the girls is laying the coolest egg? Its green (EE) but it is small and shaped like a silkie egg! I have a girl that I hatched out last year that is silkie/EE! lol so I now have I think 3 of her eggs in there.

And not to mention my DH is enabling me!

if what algopurple is saying is true..... I may leave my temps where they are lol (My temps are still wonky since I set the eggs (Sat night) running 95-100) lol it's bugging me alittle. and my humidity is still a tad high too?! I'm sitting on my hands so I don't adjust the temps. Hopefully all will be ok.

I am so wrong about the amount of eggs I put in. I was really tired when I did that post. I had been up sense 2am for wrk.
I actually have 36 eggs in the bator.

think they date is right. I put them in February 27th, 2011 let me check my calender well you are right. I put them in at 9:17pm on the 26th so really i just count from the 27th and that gives me a hatch date of the 19th or 20th. wow thanks for calling me out on that one. Must have been really tired that night.

candled on the 6th, 22 of the del eggs were clear. 1 EE had developed but died, the shell was cracked also. and 1 RIR was porus and clear. of the rest some were iffy, possible blood rings I'll keep an eye on them. but most are veining and some I see movement

that is great. sorry to hear your other eggs did not make it though. Still need to candle my eggs as well but for some reason my small Mag flashlight is not strong enough even for brown eggs. Will get a new pack of batteries and see if that is the problem. DH has a bigger one but he does not know where it is. He is the type that uses something and looses it because he does not put it back LOL
But can tell something is going on. they seems to be getting heavier when I turn them

March 20th hatch date. I candeled last night and have possibly 24 of 36. Left 2 out and took out 4 more last nite, have maybe another 6 that I can't see much going on. I'll wait a while on them. This is my first hatch, a trial run in a new home built. ............stan

finally got around to candling the eggs and only 4 were bad. I did not have 50 no clue where that number came from. I had 36 eggs but now down to 32 eggs. Might candle here in a little bit for the last time before lock down on Wed.

Now to find a place to put them all LOL

lol, Deana, I just noticed that I get your posts from both threads. this one AND the need a hatch buddy.

I am down to....... 104 eggs. from 133 = I lost 29 eggs. 24 of which were the del eggs. oh well! I got the brooder box already, I will turn the light on on Friday, maybe Sat. morning? but probably when I see the first pip. lol "lock down" is on Wed. i'll be removing the turners! YAY! I can't belive it is already

last year it dragged on and on and on and on lol

Guess the 3 of us will have babies this weekend. I need to go out to the barn and get the heat lamp out of the barn so I can make sure it still wrks. Have the brooder cage washed and ready to go but its big and not sure where to put it in the house LOL. Really would love to have a building that is insulated so I can actually use it as a brooder house.
Might use my garden tub as a brooder area have not decided on that as of yet.

I want to figure out a way to separate the eggs as they hatch so I will be able to tell what breed is what. Have gotten a few ideas from here I might use. Or come up with my own.

would love to find some silkie eggs.
