My husband is active military for 25 years we are retiring soon. We love the outdoors and love Alaska so we asked to be here for our last 3 years in the military so we could get a jump on our farm before he gets out. Grandparents owned a chicken farm when i was growing up never gave it thought of owning chickens but after buying our dream house i couldn't see not having chickens. We also have horses, goats and couple dogs. Im so hooked on my chickens wow never thought it. So is hubby lol. I have 5 RIR hens, 1 BO hen and 1 Rir/am rooster .
Any time im needing answers this is my first stop great peeps here!
Adding to my flock will post in other chats.

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Congrats on your dream home and getting started with chickens :clap
That's some lovely breeds you have there. Chickens really are a fantastic hobby. Lots of fun and very rewarding too. I have a horse too. An ex racer called Harry, what do you a have? I would also love some goats but don't have the room right now but they are on my wish list for the future!

Wishing you the very best of luck with your retirement and the future.

    Enjoy BYC :frow
