I posted over in emergencies and somone directed me over here to the "goose experts". I have a gosling that just hatched naturally and i found this on her bottom, guess where her umbilical cord would be. can someone tell me what it is and how to help her? please and thanks in advance. i've got her still in the hatcher on moist paper towels with sugar water, water, and food. she's acting normal otherwise.
, you dont need to worry at all about that ! It happens when a gosling is struggling in the egg and needs to get out earlier then usual ! Two of my african goslings had that last year and all you have to do is what psue said keep them save clean and warm oh and that will harden and will stay on the gosling for awhile so dont worry
