Its not a computer tower lol I guess it does look like one tho. Its a fan I didnt know where to put them they was already out there 2 of them so I just left them there if they need to be moved I can just hang them up some where later on. This building was already on the land before we moved here. There is a pig pen, goat pen, horse barn and this is what I am using for the coop. There is a chicken coop farther off at the back of the land but with recent wind and storms the boards on the wall have come loose and need to be repaired.

I doubt I will ever own a horse so the chickens can have it...

I finished my pvc run yesterday and the girls spent their first night outdoors! I was sooo nervous! I kept checking the wire, the gate, etc. looking, looking, looking for any place a predator could get in! I couldn't hardly make myself go to bed, I kept looking out the door and window to make sure they were ok. It was still a little cool last night so I put their lamp out with them. I turned the horse trough I kept them in on its side and attached the lamp to one side of it. I put a few shavings in and hung up a windbreak so they could get behind it where the heat collected. Worked great! I was afraid they would be too scared to get behind it, but in less than 5 minutes they had checked it all out and were making themselves at home. I think one of the RIR may be a roo...he/she is a little bigger than all the rest and definitely has a bigger comb than all the rest. We'll see... I will go out at daylight and see if anything tried to dig in.

Yea I was worried about things getting in also. I bought 2 locks for the door one for the top and one for the bottom. Everything else is really secure I won't be letting them out for another few days not cause its too cool I am in texas its been really hot here, but cause I want them to remember where home and food is. I plan to free range them during the day. This woman down the road she dont have a fence around her yard at all and she lets her chickens out but they never leave her yard, I don't know how she does it but they never go out to the road or get in anyone's yards.

I think they will be alright..........
