Hereditary Wry Neck

It doesn't look as if it's affecting her life too much, so at her age, the muscles are pretty much set, so very little can be done anymore as far as totally eliminating the curvature of her neck. I think if she were mine I'd still continue to administer vitamins specifically E and thiamine every few days to support good neurological health, and leg growth. I would also spend a little time moving her neck back into position to see if that is of any help.

My duckling was born with wry neck. Worse than this though. His whole head is sideways. The vet I go to said she sees it VERY often in ducklings whose parents were from tractor supply. Or if the ducklings come from tractor supply. She said it’s hereditary most of the time. I won’t be breeding the parents again because of it.

She got a lot worse very suddenly. She fell and broke her wing.
I took her to a vet who wrapped her wing and gave me vitamin b shots, stuff to tube feed her, told me to stop selenium because they can be overdosed, but keep up the vitamin e, and Celebrex for pain and inflammation.
She kept the bandage on for day and managed to get it wet and pull it down where it was making her trip so I took it off. I was going to rebandage but she’s holding it up better now so...🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
Yesterday she still seemed super bad, barely drinking, so I added colloidal silver into her tube feed. She seemed a little better by evening.
We’re on day four since going to the vet. She finally seems more energetic, but still not good. Now she has an area under one eye where she’s losing feathers. The patch got large just in the past 2 days so I’m going to get some terramycin today. AND when I went to see her this morning she had blood all over her chest. She either bit her tongue or it got dry and she ripped it off when it was stuck. Not sure. The bleeding has finally stopped but it’s really bothering her. She’ll violently shake her head occasionally. I’m just really discouraged because she’s such a mess.
I’m going to bring her in this afternoon and keep her inside in a bin over night since she seems to be hurting herself at night.

I could see bone. I did re-bandage her wing. After bringing her in and bandaging her I saw she has a small crack at the base of her beak on the bottom side. I’m afraid to look way in her mouth to see the extent of the damage but it’s definitely the beak and tongue.
Since I put the cream on her eyes and bandaged her though she’s really calmed down. She is drinking and I just tube fed her.

You can zoom in and see the crack.

Bless her heart do you think the crack happened when she broke her wing? You did a good job wrapping and your tube feeding? your awesome. Hopefully all your doing will help her recover.
