Nice looking dogs!

I got a baby batch one time.We decided to be nice to momma and her babes.Kids made sure of that.Grown though they would not get the same courtesy. The adults fur DOES come of super easy.

I think that picture of the possom and the tiny tots going on a chicken hunting exercise is just so precious. Mama teaching the wee ones what is good to eat and how to catch it. I wonder if it would be better for all us to just let the possom have just one hen. After all, they have to eat and the babys have to learn.

I told one lady that and she got on my case that I wasn't nice. Matter of fact she pointed me to the forum rules. I didn't understand her point, and still I don't get it. A predator comes to kill yours animals, who happen to be helpless themselves when they're asleep and some folks don't feel they should protect their own. I just might be to old to understand. I will admit I've passed many possom and coon I didn't kill. But they were not bothering me or mine. When they do, different ball game.

I would much rather a possom and a few babies die then my chickens, releasing it is only causing problems for someone else or yourself if its decides to come back. It's aleady found the food source. JMO

She(they) are LCLDs In technical terms Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dogs, the Louisiana state dog and one of only a few breeds that truely originate from the USA. Here 'round these parts they are coloquially called Catahoulas.

Thanks for the compliments, the dogs say thanks to all ya'll that like them, they do me real proud and they get rewarded very well for it. Yes Cetawin they love baked liver very much as a matter of fact they like most anything baked or not baked the goofy things eat watermelon, cucumbers, most anything they see me eat they'll eat it.

Level headed, yes, as a matter of fact sometimes they are too smart if you know what I mean sometime all I ask is that they just be dogs their personalities are too realistic sometimes, If I could ever get one to talk we'd have it made in the shade.

I have more pics to share, they deserve to be shown off, well in my book they do.

Lilly she's not mine she's Granny's daughter, BJ's sister and belongs to my best friend Perry, she's a good live trap too.

AW!!!! I knew it!! I was looking at your dogs, especially BJ and Lilly and thought they look like my Josey, I suspected she is a Catahoula. She is a very good hunter a little too good of a hunter. I have to watch her like a hawk around all other animals and strangers.
