I was just reading the survey on why people have backyard chickens. The meat section is a definite 'no' for me but other than that the list is endless. Poultry are so fascinating to spend time with (wish I had spare hours to just sit & watch them) & it has now turned in to a full time job. We have 15 different breeds/varieties of chicken as well as duck, Guinea fowl & Quail. Don't ask me for a favourite because they all have their special attributes. I love my feathered friends.
