My ducks are from Holderread's waterfowl.

My orps are from many places, including American and English lines. They include missprissy, tuffoldhen, taterschickens (imogene, who got her stock from Julie) and others.

Understand that this thread may not move as fast as some, as not as many want Heritage birds. But if we complete at least one transaction a day, O will be happy!

Which Jim? The Orpingtons or the ducks? I have over a dozen of the ducks now. I get about 5-6 a day. I could do 2 orders of ducks tomorrow (or even today with less extras) I could also do ducks/orps.

For Josh! The duck eggs. Just ship them with the others to Josh whenever you are ready to ship.

Offer: 6 Buff Duck eggs......or 6 Buff Chantecler Improvement Project eggs.

Do you have pictures of the Buff Chantecler? I looked at your web site and read the history but didn't see pictures. What are you trying to improve on them?

I have had a few Partrigde Chantecler for several years and lost my one of only rooster a few months ago. You can PM me if you would rather take discussion offline.

This is what I posted on the BYC Chantecler thread. I feel we are close to admittance in the SOP. We just need their size up about another pound or two. I have hatched all I need for this year. We are now eating the Buffs eggs. As soon as we have a male mature out of this years chicks, we will mate him to the pure Buff Chantecler hens and start hatching again. All of our chicks this year have cushion combs. Time will only tell on size and type. Color should be nailed down.

Our Buff Chanteclers are nice in type and color, but lack on size. This spring we have added two new components. A Partridge X Buff Chantecler Pullet (pictured) from Red Stag Acres (WI). And a commercial quality, Buff Orpington male (pictured). This male is poor on type, but is very tight feathered and has good size. We are hoping for an improvement in the size of the offspring. Next year we will mate these to pure Buff Chantecler and cull very heavy. Our pure Buffs photo was taken when they were much younger.

These are very gentle and easy to handle. Their color and type are excellent. We have checked the fertility and have some due to hatch soon.

The pictured eggs are Buff Chantecler eggs on the left and store bought eggs on the right. These are large, medium brown eggs.

Our incubator is full, so we have placed a listing on eBay for the extras, if anyone is interested.
