Tinyrooster declares that the Toulouse eggs are his, and offers Buckeye eggs.
GeorgeA sends the RIR eggs to Barnhen. Barnhen sends the Toulse eggs to Tinyrooster.
Noone can offer any eggs until the current offer is taken. The one taking the current offer then offers eggs. The eggs must be from a breed/variety on the ALBC critical list. A choice of several breeds/varieties may be made, but at least one of those offered must be a Heritage Exhibition variety.

I realize that --- I read the rules & am not a moron --- I promise you that!
I was asking donnie if he could do just certain sussex eggs so I could then offer my eggs.
I did not offer eggs yet, i was seeing if donnie could accomodate this request and if there would be interest in my eggs or if I would cause another stall.
Genetics of Lavender lesson:
I can take out the eggs from the LAVENDER girls... my black girls are pure Black Orpington, not split. All the chicks will be black split Orps. Only 25% of the offspring from the splits would be lavender & only 50% split. 25% would be pure black Orpingtons. The following generation, if only the black chicks were used, there would be no lavender chicks, but half split & half pure black Orpingtons. You can't visually see the difference between a black & a split. I have beautiful black Orps.
Maybe I should find another sandbox to play in. I put this thread on my signature to help promote it because it seemed like a good idea... now I'm wondering why.
I forsee this thread being somewhat slow. Being both heritage and exhibition. But if we are patient we may all find what we want. I can not accept any eggs for another few weeks. My incubator is full!
Tgrlily...that info was posted for ppl like ME, who are new to this thread & also not morons, but would like to know exactly how the swap thread works. As teach always said, the only stupid questions are the ones not asked.
Anywho, I think the wait is worth it for these rare breeds.

Well, it did look like this: Noone can offer any eggs until the current offer is taken. The one taking the current offer then offers eggs. The eggs must be from a breed/variety on the ALBC critical list. A choice of several breeds/varieties may be made, but at least one of those offered must be a Heritage Exhibition variety.
was directed at me.
I was not inferring that anyone new to the thread was a moron, but I don't like being treated as one.... especially in loud letters.
Donnie offered a variety of eggs, tigrlily was asking if he could do certain ones out of those breeds.
I believe orpingtons ARE on the ALBC list.....but not as critical. Only 12 breeds are listed as critical for chickens, and none of the breeds donnie offered, nor are the buff ducks Jim offered previously.
So, are only the 12 breeds listed as critical allowed? Or any of the 54 breeds listed by ALBC as critical, threatened, watched, recovering, and study?
I have 2 breeds listed on the list. Orloffs, not sure on their gender yet and only have 2 of them and they are about 2 months. Also have Buttercups, but I get 1 egg every other day so I wouldn't be able to offer eggs.
