A few weeks ago, my rooster Ricky and I were having our first ever tussel. I wasn't going to back down and apparently he wasn't either. This went on for a few minutes...ok probably 60 seconds, but it felt longer! Anyway, I have an EE hen who "barks" at me when she isn't getting her share of treats, who stepped between Ricky and I and gave him the hardest stink eye! He backed down then, giving me the chance to catch him and "football" carry him for a few minutes.

Saved by a barking chicken!
