My wife not knowing there was 2ft of snow in the dog pen let our 5lb yorkie out with the wiem. While the wiem was alright stuey got trapped when he fell through. She called and called then she saw him struggling mostly buried in the snow. she being disabled was unable to do anything but watch in horror until she had the idea of sending zoe to fetch stuey. It worked! after several proddings zoe picked up stuey by the scruf of the neck and obediently dropped stuey at her feet! Now our weim sits in the hero seat of our family

I think the Weimaraner is one of the most overlooked dogs. I suppose their size and strange eyes put off some people; however, our experience with our Wally has placed Weimers at the top of the dog preference list. Wally lived to 14 year+ years and was a sweetheart, a VERY good dog, up to the day he "told" us he was too tired to live on, and we had him put to sleep at home on his bed with all of us gathered around him. Somehow I'm not surprised to hear your story about your hero. Good and faithful friends, they are, worthy of all the love and trust you can give them. ~G
