Hey all you breeders out there!

Insted of breeding for the next silkie color (silkies are awsome though) how about breeding a rooster that doesn't crow.

Just a thought

Forgot to add this would be GREAT for urban chicken owners and you could get rich on this brake through.......

i think for that to happen though someone would have to be willing to tamper with genetics/know a lot about science. I don't know of a rooster that doesn't crow so it'd be hard to breed them down to non-crowing.

Quiet crow, or doesn't crow often for sure.. There are breeds like that. But to stop the crowing completely would be hard and maybe.. A bad thing, crowing is used to sound territory (probably spelled wrong), and a lot of other stuff i can't even think of right now.. (There is a video on youtube and im sure there are other places as well that names it all..)

Taking away a roosters crow would be like (Really don't want to compare chickens via humans but) cutting someones voice/tongue out.
