I am Angela but have always been called Angie since the day I was born.

Im one too.

I hated it when I was a kid, I wanted a name like the Jennifers, there were 3 in my class. Now Im glad I have a unique name. And I know 4 others! Even after almost 10 years my boyfriend still refers to me as Angela but its usually Ang to my friends. Except for one friend who calls me Stewball in reference to my last name.

All through school I had teachers who called me Angela.

My parents named me after the Rolling Stones song, "Angie". ... Seriously!!

my sisters boyfriend used to greet me with that all the time! My little sister is a Nikki, not Nicole and my uncle is Ronnie not Ronald, they had the same problem with people using the whole name.
