Glad to be a member of BYC. Have enjoyed lots of good info and advice so far. Had chickens when I was young (decades ago) but since agreed to get my 5yr old a pet. I figured chickens would teach her responsibility and we could get something back as well. Today is my first post, and also my first rooster attack (haha). I was scooping some hens out of my way and he didn't care for this action against his girls. But I went back in later and we were ok with each other. Lesson learned.
