Hey gardeners out there...what kind of bug eggs are these? Help!

I have found these several times out on my plants in the garden. I always pick the leaf off and smash them but what are they? They are VERY tiny.

Well, you can always put them in a jar with a bit of mesh or fabric over the top and see what hatches.
