Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Cabbage rolls sound great! I haven't done that in a very long time. We ended up eating out. Our son had spent the weekend with some friends. By the time we got him picked up it was late. So it will be Pork Chops tonight!

Have any of you seen the movie "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"? It is not as bad a the title sounds! It is actually a very cute musical with Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds. It was made in 1982 and is pretty corny but I love it! It was one that my parents would watch on a Sunday afternoon when they needed a giggle. Well I talked my DH into watching it for the first time last night. He is not a big fan of musicals but he said it was cute. So if you are in the mood for a cheesy, corny, but really cute movie, try this one!

Have a fantastic Monday!

I guess I'm breaking the pork chop trend. That was last week.

Tonight we're going vegetarian - angel hair pasta with sauteed onion, diced tomato, and garden fresh basil; green salad, and garlic bread.

thechickenchick - Thanks for the recommendation. I haven't seen that one so I'll have to check it out.

Hey all I been MIA as I couldn't take the food descriptions any more. I was so long on liquid that it was sick LOL I ended up with an infection in that dental work and went backwards instead of forward.

I can now eat most foods so I am back, I really missed you all, so

Happy Birthday to those I missed
Happy Aniversity to those I missed
And remember I kept you all in my prayers

Kim_NC thank you for that recipe and that site. I have not seen it before so I book marked it.

As far as pizza goes I doctor them up as well. I also keep ready to make pilsbury thin pizza crust on hand and will make a garlic alfrado sauce/ or use alfrado jar sauce once in a while, and add chicken strips or steak strips with Mozzrella cheese and chopped green onions and chopped tomatos. It is very good.

Hey BB good to see you are still here. Hi to all of ya.

Tonight is Shepards pie, with a salad.

Zookeeper its great to "see" you! I am glad to hear you are feeling better. I am still trying to find that Orange Julius Recipe for you. I moved twice in less than a year and I am still missing things!! My DS was in an accident so my DH and his buddies packed my entire house. Bless them but,

!!

Today is Crock-pot Sloppy Joes on homemade bread. I am unsure on a side. French Fries maybe? Or homemade potato chips?

What is everyone else cooking?

Edited because I was in too big of a hurry to proof read!! Sorry!

Today is sandwiches, tommorrow is pasties, Thursday is a beef/pork roast with potatoes, carrots and onions cooked in gravy and cooked at 250 all day long.

Hope your dear hubby is doing ok after an accident and I sure wouldn't want anyone packing my house. LOL

Roast sounds SO good!

I am so sorry I did not take the time to proof read my post!! MY DS was hurt and DH and I had just gotten married. I had only moved the basics. DS was in the hospital for 5 weeks in a different town 60 miles away. It was a serious situation so I did not want to leave. We moved the camper there and lived in it while he was hospitalized. So it was up to the men to pack things up. It has been 2 years and I am still "missing" things!

Zoo!!! Good to see you! I had wondered where you had wandered off to. I'm sorry that your dental work turned out to be such a pain (literally as well as figuratively) but am glad to know that you're doing better now!

Sounds like you have some really good items on your menu this week and I'm sooooo glad to know that you can actually eat them!

thechickenchick - So what side did you come up with for your sloppy joes? We always like corn with ours.

Tonight I'll be making a roasted chicken with lemon and herbs, brown and wild rice, veggies (not sure which ones yet - probably green beans), and rolls.

BYB I ended up making french fries. Last night we had grilled hamburgers and pasta salad. Tonight I am trying Kims meat ball recipie from a few pages back.

We have a Family Reunion coming up at the end of the month. So I am making a gallon jar full of pickled eggs. I am not sure how many dozen it takes to fill it up, so I am starting now!

Have a great day everyone.
