That's my kind of recipe, Backyard Buddies! Sounds really good! [IMG]

It turns out, I had 3 large half pieces of breasts, so I did one sauteed with mushrooms, onion, garlic, ginger ..and served with fried cabbage and baked mac 'n cheese. I cooked the others and put them in the fridge for tonight's whatever.. and maybe a chicken salad... ?

My head is being flakey.. I wake up okay.. but as the day gets started, I feel it creeping up again. Strangely, I am beginning to see/notice the connection between my clenched jaw and bruxxing/teeth grinding ............but I can't walk around during the day with my guard in my mouth. LOL [IMG]

When driving home from work last night and trying to think of something for dinner I remembered this one. It is so easy, fast, rich and yummy. If you try let me know what you think.

    Happy Cooking - Sandee

    Bow Tie Pasta with Brie

3 cups cooked Bow Tie Pasta, drained and set aside
    1 Tsp fresh minced garlic
    1 cup fine chopped tomato
½ cup chopped and loose packed fresh Basil
¼ cup roasted Pine Nuts (walnuts could be used instead - unroasted)
6 ounces Brie Cheese (triple cream is the best, if you can get and afford it)
    ¼ Olive Oil
1 tsp salt or to taste
    Grated Parmesan Cheese

Heat Olive Oil over medium heat, add garlic and cook just to warm (less than one minute) add tomatoes, cook to only warm through (less than one minute), gently stirring. Add cooked pasta and gently toss/fold until garlic and tomatoes are evenly incorporated. Add basil, pine nuts and Brie cheese. Gently stir until Brie is melted and evenly incorporated. Serve immediately topped with Parmesan cheese.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

I'm hoping to get some outdoor grilling in.. some yard work.. another minor adjustment to the chicken pen/run... and maybe a trip to the beach, weather permitting [IMG]

Got this recipe about 10 years ago while watching a cooking show on PBS. The Chef was from a restaurant in North Beach, SF - small world since you are in SF Bay Area. I lived in the Napa Valley at the time. Enjoy

well it was a basic spag. n garlic bread tonight.
i was too afraid to go out to my garden as we
found a huge HUGE hornets nest right beside
it and have been trying to get ride of them so
they are all worked up...lol. but i did add a ton
of zucchinni, yellow squash, green pepper and
    onions with meat of course.

We grilled during a thunderstorm this evening......
Got a rump roast and run it through the brand new grinder attachment on my fairly new KitchenAid stand mixer.
My honey got the attachments for me for my birthday!![IMG]
Run some bacon through with the beef and made burgers with BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese and pickles on homemade yeast buns...made with my mixer and baked in the gas grill....
Homemade apple pie made by my best girl friend of 40+ years for my birthday the other day, and homemade ice cream made in the electric mixer she got me.....she thought my old hand crank got broken at a recent cook out, but no, an over eager young fella who'd never seen one just knocked the crank loose in his excitement.[IMG]
I love the hand crank, but did kinda enjoy the electric [IMG]
A really special dinner all the way around!!

Quote:Happy Belated Birthday sounded like a really nice day. Don't you just love those attachments! [IMG] I just got the three pack for my mixer and it is great. Also, have the ice cream attachment for KitchenAid love that as well.

We do the same thing with our burger and call them "squealers" oink oink

Just wondering how you make sausage gravy, when the sausage these days is so lean that there is no fat in the pan? I tried adding cooking oil last time and that was horrible! [IMG]

Quote:Use some of your bacon drippings ..? I keep a container near the stove, for when I fry bacon... and when something needs some extra "fat" ..I drop a little in [IMG]
